MacMahon expressed his doubts regarding Anthony Davis's current situation, "It's a situation that raises serious concerns. Just as you've offered a $213 million deal to Trae Young, yet you haven't secured a contract extension for Davis, this is far from an ideal scenario. There's clearly an issue at hand. I would be utterly astonished if Davis remains in Washington past the trade deadline. I'm stating this outright. Of course, I might be proven wrong, but I would indeed be surprised."
