The upcoming 'TotalEnergies' Africa Cup of Nations is set to be co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda in 2027, and I am confident that this event will be a resounding success. Subsequent editions of the Africa Cup of Nations are scheduled for 2028, 2031, and 2033. The FIFA World Cup will take place in 2030, adhering to FIFA's tradition, no Africa Cup of Nations or other continental football associations' national teams' final tournament will be held in the same year. The Africa Cup of Nations is not merely a football spectacle but also a grand celebration of Africa's diverse cultures, customs, and traditions, uniting the people of the 54 African nations, diaspora Africans, and friends worldwide. The decision by the African Football Confederation's Executive Committee aligns with the best interests of African football and its 54 member associations, and it is poised to significantly advance the long-term development of the sport in Africa.
